IL Sup. Ct. Clarifies Commission Authority

The Illinois Supreme Court ruled that the Industrial Commission had no jurisdiction to review a wage differential award 10 years after the issuance of the award. In Cassens Transport Co. v. Industrial Comm'n, No. 100183, 02/17/2006, Edwin Ade sustained injury to his hand in the course and scope of his employment for Cassens Transport Co. (Cassens) on 08/24/1988, and filed a claim for benefits under the Workers Compensation Act.
