Last Day for Doctors to Re-file E&M Claims With Aetna

Today is the deadline for California doctors to resubmit denied claims to Aetna for evaluation and management services provided on the same day as a decision for surgery. Previously denied claims with dates of service between Jan. 1, 2005, and Feb. 11, 2006 can be resubmitted, according to the California Medical Association. Any physician who has not opted out of the Settlement Agreement is eligible to resubmit claims for an E&M visit when the decision for surgery was made and the E&M service was denied.
