A former Baltimore police officer pleaded guilty to taking part in a check-theft scheme for which the claims adjuster on his workers' compensation case is also accused.
The Maryland Attorney General's Office said that Andre Alan Stover, 40, pleaded guilty in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County to stealing approximately $153,000 in fraudulent workers' compensation checks from CompManagement.
Stover faces up to 15 years in prison and a $15,000 fine for each felony count at his sentencing on March 13.
