Liberty Mutual Sees 5% Growth in Net Income

Liberty Mutual Group reported net income of income of $339 million for the second quarter of 2007, about a 5% increase from the same quarter last year. The company reported net earnings of $689 million for the first half of 2007, Liberty Mutual said the increases in both periods primarily reflect strong growth in the business units, lower catastrophes and strong investment results.
