The longer three-year statute of limitations applies to a tort filing when the injury alleged is loss of a contract for continued employment, the Tennessee Court of Appeals has ruled.
The Nashville-based appellate court in Sudberry v. Royal & Sun Alliance, No. M2005-00280-COA-R3-CV (7/27/06), ruled on a suit brought against numerous defendants by Henry K. Sudberry. He claimed their alleged conduct led Nissan to terminate him wrongly on Dec. 12, 2000.
