The Annual Convention of the IAIABC to be held in San Francisco, September 4-6 will feature a session on how the HIPAA Privacy Rule has affected workers' compensation claims handling. In the months leading up to the initial enforcement date for the new rule, workers compensation claims handlers grew increasingly concerned about disruption in the flow of medical information.
