The annual premium assessment that funds Oregon's Division of Workers' Compensation will drop to 5.5% in 2006, it was announced Wednesday.
However, self-insured
employers and self-insured employer groups will be charged at a slightly higher rate of 5.7% to fund the Self-Insured Employer
Adjustment Reserve and the Self-Insured Employer Group Adjustment Reserve.
Next year's assessment is 19% below the 2005 base rate of 6.8%. The 5.5% of direct earned premium will pay for the state to regulate, administer and enforce the workers' compensation and occupational
