A New York court on Friday told a town police officer he can collect two full disability checks at the same time, as long as Social Security doesn't term his benefit accidental or retirement.
The 2nd Department Appellate Division told the town of East Fishkill it misread a state law when it reduced Officer Jonathan McCaffrey's wage-replacement benefit by the amount of Social Security disability he was receiving.
