Florida 1st Reverses Treatment Award

The First District of the Florida Court of Appeals reversed a judge of compensation claims (JCC) decision, holding that medical evidence did not support the treatment award. In Dollar General Corp. v. MacDonald , No. 1D05-2204, 05/03/2006, Linda MacDonald was injured twice while working as an assistant manager for Dollar General Stores -- once in March 2003 and again in August 2003. MacDonald's petition for workers' compensation benefits was based only on the March 2003 injury, and listed her injuries as back, neck, hands, and wrist.
