Missouri Employers Pay Less for Comp than in 1994

Missouri employers are paying less for their workers' compensation insurance than they did in 1994 and state officials don't believe the 2005 reform law deserves much of the credit. The state insurance department reports that rates as of May 31 had declined by three-tenths of 1% since 1994. Missouri Department of Insurance spokeswoman Emily Kampeter told a Southeast Missouri paper that the department "can't say the (law) changes have had a direct effect."
