The loss of an eye is not a permanent disfigurement, a New York court ruled.
In Giblin v. Pine Ridge Log Homes, 501440, 07/12/2007, the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, 3rd Department said that the loss of one eye did not fall under the "grave injury" category nor did it make a significant difference to the plaintiff's appearance.
