The North Carolina Industrial Commission (NCIC) reports that the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia has authorized US Airways Group, which filed for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings on 08/11/02, to continue workers' compensation claim processing in the normal course.US Airways, and its subsidiaries, had filed Chapter 11, the company says, to get breathing room "to complete its restructuring initiatives and obtain cost-savings from some of our aircraft lessors and financiers as a means of ensuring the Company's return to profitability".The NCIC earlier this we...
