Comp Attorneys Were Targets of Violent Acts

The point-blank shooting of a popular applicants' attorney in his office claimed a life in a year marred by violent acts and threats against workers' compensation attorneys and court staffs. Jay BloomBecker of Santa Cruz County was found shot to death in his law office on June 14 and police soon after arrested one of his clients in the murder investigation.
