The Fresno Bee reports that the the Fresno City Council will debate tonight whether to reduce a supplement the city pays to injured workers on top of workers' compensation benefits for the city's 3,620 employees. Currently, injured city workers receive 85% of their base pay tax-free. Some council members believe that this generous package leads to abuse of the system.
