The Zambian government is cracking down on businesses in the African nation-state that don't register with the Workers' Compensation Fund.
Workers' Compensation Fund Public Relations Manager, Maybin Nkolomba issued a warning yesterday in an interview with the Zambia News Agency (ZANA) that businesses which fail to register within 14 days of commencing operations, in accordance with Act No. 10 of 1999 of the Laws of Zambia, risk having payroll "estimated" and then assessed based on that estimate.
