It's bad enough having to put up with a dislikable boss, but a British study says the unpleasantness may be bad for the heart.
Researchers looked at 6,600 men ages 35 to 55 in Britain to look for a relationship between workplace justice -- defined as a sense of fairness coming from upper management -- and the onset of coronary heart disease. The study appears in the Oct. 24 issue of Archives of Internal Medicine.
None of the participants had coronary heart disease when the study began in 1985. The researchers monitored the group for heart attacks and heart problems for about nine years.
