A trial judge acted prematurely when he ruled that a goof in Missouri's workers' compensation reform law didn't negate coverage last year for the state's employees and employers, Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon argues in a just-filed appeal.
Nixon filed a petition Friday with the Western District Court of Appeals in Kansas City in which he argues no conflict had yet arisen to justify a judge's declaratory judgment, which closed the unintended gap in workers' compensation coverage late last year.
