Ohio Lays Outs New Hospital Fee Structure

The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation released last week its new hospital reimbursement fee schedule that has been called too generous and, at the same time, stingy. A letter about the hospital-specific fee schedule was mailed out to hospitals Sept. 1. The new rates will go into effect on Oct. 1 and remain through 2006. The formula change is needed to curb rising hospital-related costs to the system, according to the BWC.
