The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation released last week its new hospital reimbursement fee schedule that has been called too generous and, at the same time, stingy.
A letter about the hospital-specific fee schedule was mailed out to hospitals Sept. 1. The new rates will go into effect on Oct. 1 and remain through 2006.
The formula change is needed to curb rising hospital-related costs to the system, according to the BWC.
