Health Net Reporting Work Comp $$ Differently

Health Net, Inc. (NYSE:HNT) today announced that it is raising earnings guidance for 2003 to a range of $2.48 to $2.52 per diluted share. Earlier guidance had been for diluted earnings per share of between $2.42 and $2.47 for 2003. Health Net also announced that it will take pretax, non-cash charges of approximately $48 million when it reports its fourth quarter and full year 2002 results on February 12, 2003.
