A Democratic lawmaker in Missouri said the state's workers' compensation system might be on the verge of collapse, but voters should blame Republicans, not Democrats.
In a letter written to the editors the News-Leader newspaper in Springfield, Sen. Timothy P. Green, D-St. Louis, said Democrats refused to support urgency legislation to fix a clause in this year's reform bill that, in the opinion of some lawyers, inadvertently makes workers' compensation an optional system.
