A record $1,012,161 was collected in penalties against employers for noncompliance during fiscal 2006-2007, Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner James Neeley said Monday.
The Uninsured Employers Fund (UEF) was created by statute in 2000 to reduce the problem of injured employees not being covered for job-related injuries or illnesses.
