The District Attorney for Humboldt County has filed a criminal complaint against a Eureka man who allegedly lied to a number of physicians to receive nearly $9,000 in worker's compensation benefits he wasn't entitled to.The complaint filed against Clifford Strachan, 53, charges him with six felony counts based on allegations that, beginning July 18, Strachan told various doctors that he still couldn't "hold onto a plate" with his left hand following a shoulder injury November of 2001 while carrying wooden planks while working for Easter Seals.
