Mo. AGO Cracking Down on Uninsured Employers

A record number of Missouri businesses obtained workers' compensation insurance in 2005 as a result of action taken by the state attorney general's office (AGO), Attorney General Jay Nixon said in a press release. Nixon said the employees of 362 businesses that were not complying with state laws requiring coverage now have that protection. By comparison, 148 employers came into compliance with the law in 2004.
