The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is focusing on protection of teenager workers as summer and the peak season for employing teenagers approaches.
"While teen workers earn extra money and gain valuable work experience the risk of a serious or even fatal injury is present," OSHA notes.
OSHA Administrator Ed Foulke said the "enthusiasm and eagerness to succeed" of the young workers can put them at risk of workplace injury."
