Calif. DWC Announces Employer Assessments

The California Division of Workers' Compensation on Monday posted on its Web site the 2007 assessment rates paid by employers to a variety of funds that pay for administrative costs. Senate Bill 899, passed in 2004, increased from 20% to 100% the amount of costs borne by insured and self-insured employers for system costs. Employers will pay the following assessment rates in 2007: * Workers' Compensation Administration Revolving Fund, 0.00448, up from 0.003935 in 2006.
