Calif. 3rd Finds Prejudicial Errors in Saw-Injury Suit

Cumulative prejudicial evidentiary error requires reversal of an injured worker's product-liability lawsuit, the California 3rd District Court of Appeal ruled. The jury had returned a special verdict finding no design defect in the automatic wood-cutting rip saw on which plaintiff Deborah Lester was injured. She appealed from the judgment entered in favor of defendant Professional Machinery Group, Inc. (PMG), which sold the saw to Lester's employer. Her appeal is Lester v.
