Health Insurers Hiring Faster Than Medical Industry

Employment in the health insurance industry has grown by 52% over the past decade, while the number of health services providers, such as nurses and doctors, grew by half as much, according to government figures. In August 1997, there were 293,000 employees in the health insurance industry, while in August 2007, that number jumped to 444,000, according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics.
