A female prison employee who developed post-traumatic stress disorder in 1989 after learning she was on a prisoner hit list can draw workers' compensation benefits yet be considered fully recovered by the correction department.
The Commonwealth Court wrote in Stover v. Dept. of Corrections, No. 531 C.D. 2006, 9/28/06, that a workers' compensation judge's finding that Brenda Stover was still affected by post-traumatic stress did not necessitate a similar finding by the Department of Corrections in the Act 632 matter.
