Fla. Legislators Seek Benefits for Mental Hospital Workers

A pair of north Florida state representatives are making another run at beefing up pension benefits for state employees who they say are risking assault and death by working in the state's mental hospitals. State Reps. Marti Coley, R-Marianna, and Curtis Richardson, D-Tallahassee, told a group of state hospital workers this week they will push legislation increasing the formula by which their pensions are calculated to match the state's prison guards.
