Judge Approves AIK Assessements

A Kentucky judge ruled last week that a financially troubled workers' compensation insurance carrier may again start collecting assessments from its member companies to help plug a $58.5 million shortfall, the Associated Press reported. Franklin County Circuit Judge William Graham ruled that AIK Comp's rehabilitator, Martin Koetters, may continue collection efforts on behalf of the company.
