A.M. Best Co. has affirmed the A- financial strength rating and the a- issuer credit ratings of AmTrust Group, a carrier making a rapid transition into workers' compensation. AmTrust Group (AG) focuses on workers' compensation for smaller employers. The ratings reflect AmTrust's adequate balance sheet strength inclusive of the proceeds of a private placement offering, strong operating performance and the benefits derived from its parent, AmTrust Financial Services, Inc.
