Positive Results For NY Non-Emergency Injured Work

Acting Chairman of the Workers' Compensation Board, Jeffrey R. Sweet announced Friday that the Board's commitment to accelerate non-emergency health care benefits for injured workers has produced positive results. In 2002, the Board initiated a policy to intervene on behalf of claimants whose request for authorization related to non-emergency medical treatment had not been addressed by the insurer within 30 days.
