The California Alcoholic Beverage Control Department temporarily revoked the liquor license of a north state bar owner because he was convicted of paying employees under the table to avoid workers' compensation premiums, the Eureka Times-Standard newspaper reported Saturday.
The newspaper said Salvatore Constanzo, owner of the Sidelines Sports Bar in Arcata and Sal's Off Broadway in Eureka, was convicted of workers' compensation fraud one year ago.
