Senate Budget Panel to Take up Drug Repackaging

The Florida Senate Appropriations Committee is scheduled today to review legislation that would cap the price of repackaged drugs dispensed to injured workers at the average wholesale price set by the original manufacturer plus a $4.18 dispensing fee.Senate Bill 662, filed by Sen. Alan Hays, R-Umatilla, is being sought by the Florida Insurance Council, the Florida Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Florida.
