Senate Bill Would Streamline CMS Set-Aside Process in Workers' Comp Settlements

A bill introduced to the U.S. Senate last week with bipartisan sponsorship would streamline the way the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services approves set-asides in workers’ compensation settlement cases. The bill, S 2731, was introduced by Sens. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., and Rob Portman, R-Ohio, on Thursday, just before Congress adjourned for the summer.
