The Wisconsin-based workers' compensation insurance carrier Acuity is adopting predictive modeling software, the company providing the software announced.
Though Acuity's vice president of commercial lines said in a statement that "decisions cannot be made by the model alone," he said that underwriters can use the software, made by Valen Analytics, to help make decisions.
Workers' compensation represents 31% of Acuity's commercial lines total premium.
