Medicare Sets $10K Settlement Review Threshold

The Medicare program will no longer review Workers' Compensation Set-aside Arrangements for claims when the settlement amount is less than $10,000, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) said. "In order to increase efficiencies in our process, and based on available statistics, CMS is instituting this workload review threshold," the agency said in a July 11 memorandum.
