New York state law says all workers’ compensation disputes should be heard before the State Workers’ Compensation Board. But one law firm has decided to go a different route, flooding the Bronx County Civil Court with hundreds of lawsuits against insurers seeking reimbursement for the treatment of injured workers on behalf of compounding pharmacies and medical device suppliers.
