Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Wednesday signed legislation that increases injured workers' benefits but also institutes reforms designed to lower medical costs.
The approval of House Bill 2137 represents the first major reform of the state's workers' compensation system in 20 years, Blagojevich said in a press release.
