NCCI says it has filed an endorsement with state insurance regulators that could be appended to workers compensation policies providing coverage during 2005, as well as those extending into 2006.
The purpose of the endorsement, says NCCI, is to help insurers deal with the uncertainty of an extension to the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002.
According to NCCI, the endorsement clarifies for insureds that a premium charge for foreign terrorism may, at the insurer's option, either continue to be applied or change from the amount currently applied following the expiration of TRIA.
