Church Mutual announced Thursday the appointment of Robert "Bob" White to president of CM Regent Insurance Co., and the promotion of Janet Selnes to the position of assistant vice president-broker distribution.
CM Regent is wholly owned subsidiary of Church Mutual, headquartered in Mechanicsville, Pennsylvania.
White joined CM Regent in June 2017 as vice president-chief underwriting officer and chief operating officer. He has held senior leadership positions at several companies, including GuideOne Mutual Insurance Co., First Nonprofit Insurance Co. and Alliance Mutual Insurance Co.
White holds a bachelor’s degree in risk management/insurance from the University of Georgia. In addition, he holds various designations and certifications, including Certified Insurance Counselor, Associate in Risk Management, Accredited Adviser in Insurance and Associate in Reinsurance. He also is a licensed insurance agent.
Selnes joined Church Mutual in 2003 as a regional representative and was promoted to division manager in 2012. Five years later, Janet was promoted to regional sales manager, the carrier said.
During her time in sales, she earned her Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Risk Manager and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designations.
Selnes earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. She earned an MBA in general business studies from Marylhurst University.
