The Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation added a new administrative law judge this month, the Cordele Dispatch newspaper reported.
Sharon Hurt Reeves was sworn in on March 3.
Reeves practiced law at the Macon firm Jones Cork LLP for more than 20 years, according to board chairman Frank McKay and Reeves' LinkedIn profile.
She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and a law degree from the University of Georgia. She started at Jones Cork, where she represented insurers and employers in workers' compensation cases, after law school. She also took on general liability, medical malpractice and other civil litigation cases.
Reeves joins 16 other administrative law judges who decide on matters related to workers' compensation claims.
