New Mexico's Workers' Compensation Administration has appointed Rachel A. Bayless to a second term, WCA Director Darin Childers announced Tuesday.
Workers' compensation judges in New Mexico are initially appointed to a one-year term and may be reappointed to subsequent five-year terms.
Bayless, who is from Clovis, New Mexico, was previously an assistant district attorney and was a staff attorney for The Hartford insurance company.
She was general counsel for the Workers' Compensation Administration when she was elevated to the judgeship in 2017. Her new term will last until April 2023.
