National Law Firm Appoints Alison Schefer and Daniel Simpson as Partners
FORT LAUDERDALE, July 06, 2016 – Adelson, Testan, Brundo, Novell & Jimenez (ATB), a national law firm focusing on workers' compensation defense, today announced it has appointed Alison J. Schefer and Daniel J. Simpson as partners in Fort Lauderdale. The firm further announced that Ms. Schefer will lead the West Palm Beach office, when it opens later this month.
The addition of the West Palm Beach office will give ATB four locations in Florida (ATB's other offices are in Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa) and 27 offices in 13 states. Established in 1996, ATB has more than 140 professionals serving clients across the U.S.
"Our client engagements continue to grow in Florida as more employers seek our assistance with complex workers' compensation cases and closure initiatives," said Steven C. Testan, founder and senior managing partner of ATB. "Alison and Daniel both bring a strong understanding of Florida's legal system and extensive experience in all areas of workers' compensation defense law. At the same time, the addition of the West Palm Beach office will expand our presence in South Florida, where we continue to see increasing demand for our specialized legal expertise."
Ms. Schefer has nearly 30 years of experience as an attorney in Florida. Previously, she was a partner with Conroy, Simberg, PA where she was involved in the defense of workers‘ compensation claims and presented numerous seminars on various related topics. She began her legal career in 1987 in Florida and was an associate with two other law firms before joining Conroy, Simberg. A past member of the Florida Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Executive Council, Ms. Schefer earned a B.B.A. degree from Stetson University and a J.D. from the Levin College of Law at the University of Florida.
Mr. Simpson has 16 years of experience as an attorney in Florida. Previously, he was a partner with Conroy, Simberg, PA, where he managed the Workers' Compensation department of the firm's Hollywood, FL office. He earned a B.A. degree in business administration from Georgia Southern University and a J.D. cum laude from Stetson University College of Law.
