Risico Achieves a Perfect Score URO Performance Audit Review

FRESNO, CA - September 2, 2020 - Risico, a leader in workers' compensation utilization review, announced today it has received a perfect score on its 2020 utilization review organization (URO) routine investigation conducted by the State of California's Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Workers' Compensation.
According to the State's website, UROs are subject to routine utilization review investigations once every three years. As each investigation is completed, the final performance rating and an analysis of penalties and violations cited are posted online.
"Our approach to ensuring compliance and achieving the highest quality reviews is two-pronged. We've implemented various audit points throughout the UR process to ensure our path to compliance and quality is clear and unobstructed. We've also developed a rigorous ongoing training program that ensures each member of Risico's Total Managed Care team is well equipped to produce consistently high-quality reviews," stated Amy Skinner, Risico Total Managed Care's Director of Nursing.
