Mullen & Filippi welcomes Leslie Tuxhorn

Since 1991, Leslie Tuxhorn has been a practicing California Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney. In the course of her years of practice, she has appeared at every single board with the exceptions of Fresno and San Jose. After attaining partnership, ascending to management and finally being elected to three consecutive terms as the manager of a large statewide defense firm, Ms. Tuxhorn is excited to continue her pursuit of excellence with Mullen & Filippi.

Formerly a single mother, Ms. Tuxhorn completed court reporting school and then leveraged that career to earn her JD law degree.  Later, as a fulltime partner and married mother of three sons, she studied for and passed the Texas State Bar, her native home state.  She took her Master's Degree in Professional Studies through attendance at the George Washington University Law Firm Management Program in Washington, D.C.

She is a Fellow and a Governor for the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers, the society which identifies and honors the most distinguished members of the Worker's Compensation community nationwide.  She also serves on the American Bar Association's Attorney Law Practice Well-Being Committee, which provides resources and tools in areas such as career satisfaction, work/life balance and many other quality of life issues.  The search for improvement in her own life led her to Mullen & Filippi.

After serving on the broader stage for a number of years, Ms. Tuxhorn desires to bring focus back to the basic joy of working with clients to achieve their goals and supporting others to find mutual success, which is where her greatest happiness has always been found.

When her law practice allows, Ms. Tuxhorn's avocation is spending time as a personal care assistant, assisting those with special challenges to expand the time and range of independence.
