Dr. Brigham also served on the Advisory Committee and as a contributor to the Fifth Edition, and is the editor of the AMA publications Guides Newsletter and the Guides Casebook.
As a clinician with over 25 years of experience, Dr. Brigham has performed several thousand independent medical and impairment evaluations, and has trained thousands of physicians, attorneys and claims professionals throughout the United States, Canada and internationally.
"This partnership will support WorkCompSchool in our core mission to deliver seminars nation-wide and share educational resources and knowledge in the development and delivery of high-quality professional education and on-line learning for our industry professionals." said Cyndi Koppany, WorkCompCentral Vice President of Education and Business Development. "Many states require the use of the most recent edition of the guides either by statute or code, and Dr. Brigham will present the new Sixth Edition of the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment."
Mindy Brigham, Vice President of Brigham and Associates, Inc. (www.impairment.com) shared her enthusiasm with the relationship, stating "We are delighted to be working with WorkCompCentral and WorkCompSchool in providing effective, high quality learning opportunities on impairment assessment and other critically important topics. Both of our organizations are committed to exceeding the expectations of our clients and demonstrating our uniqueness. We complement each other's strengths and this synergistic relationship will benefit the organizations and individuals we serve."
This seminar will be a superb opportunity to receive training on this new approach to defining impairment and together with WorkCompCentral we will then make this available online. Participants will acquire a solid understanding of evolving concepts and how to perform a Sixth Edition rating in a forum that will be dynamic and engaging." said Mindy Brigham.
David DePaolo, Founder and CEO of WorkCompCentral, stated "It is an honor for WorkCompCentral to partner with Brigham and Associates, Inc. to assist the workers' compensation community in providing both important as well as primary resources in understanding the AMA Guides. Dr. Brighams participation in the creation of the Fifth and Sixth edition of the AMA Guides will provide the community with authoritative information necessary to unravel the intricacies and nuances inherent in the AMA Guides. This vital information provided by Brigham and Associates, Inc. will be distributed nationally directly to each professional at their work or home environment."
