The earthquake and tsunami in Japan on Friday, March 11, 2011, is devastating to that country and its people. Police as of 3/15 put the death toll from the earthquake and accompanying tsunami at 3,373 and the number of missing people at 6,746 as of 1100 GMT. National broadcaster NHK said more than 450,000 people were in temporary shelters in the affected areas.
This could easily have been Los Angeles or San Francisco. We believe what goes around, comes around and that it is the civic responsibility of good corporate citizens to lend a hand when we can.
In addition to individual and matching donations, WorkCompCentral and Mike Sullivan Law Offices have agreed to donate $100 to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami relief fund for each purchase of a full set of SOC books/online access.
