Bakery Cited for Alleged Fire, Amputation Hazards

A commercial bakery in Medley, Florida, is facing $129,145 in proposed penalties after federal safety inspectors found the company exposed workers to noise and the risk of amputation or fire. Hometown Foods USA, doing business as Bagelmania Inc., received citations for 16 violations from the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The company has 15 business days to contest the citations.
