Injured Prison Worker Gets Restitution for lost Overtime Pay after Inmate Assault

A California appellate court upheld an award of restitution to an injured prison worker for the overtime pay he lost as a result of his injuries from an assault by an inmate. Case: People v. Gracy, No. B258530, 04/30/2015, unpublished. Facts: While Gray Bond Gracy was confined in state prison, he punched Andrew Jones, a prison nurse, in the face several times.
