The price of medication is a growing concern among workers' compensation payers despite declining drug costs, a consortium of pharmacy benefit management companies found in a recent survey.
CompPharma asked 25 workers' compensation payers to rate how big a problem drug costs are on a scale of one to five, with three being "equally as important as other medical issues." The respondents' average reply was 4.1, compared with an average of 3.8 during the past three years.
